In 1997, God gave Bishop Gregory L. Drake a vision to plant a church. God admonished him to help change a generation and make a noticeable difference in the community.
The first service of the Jubilee Community Church was held on April 6, 2003. Fifty-one people attended the service, and 3 lives were saved that day. The message preached was "If Jesus puts you on hold, don't hang up." To date, God has blessed our membership to continuously proliferate!
For the first few years we leased 106 Lyndalyn from the Lion's Club for our Sunday worship services as well as our worship service during the week. As a result of Bishop Drake hearing God's voice and believing upon the Word spoken to him that "we shall have buildings that we did not build", Jubilee experienced what we referred to as a takeover on January 25, 2008 and we purchased all 3 buildings on the campus of Lyndalyn Ave. In 2012, God also blessed us to purchase Carrell Stadium sitting on 5 acres of land at 200 Lion Street in DeSoto, Texas. The Lord has recently allowed us to erect a new worship facility. The project is in progress at 200 Lion Street in DeSoto and should be complete by the summer of 2021. Please visit us virtually to experience the excitement at our 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning worship celebration! God is continuously doing great things at Jubilee and we are grateful and excited!
